47th Martinimarkt

On Friday, November 8th

47th Dornbirn Martini Market on November 8th!

„Eduard, butz do Bart, z’Dorobiro ischt Martinimart!“
This will be the 47th time the traditional nostalgia market brings life to the city center of Dornbirn.

On Friday, November 8th, 2024, the Martini Market kicks off at 8:48 AM with the traditional gathering of "the folks in old costumes" at the City Museum Park. Visitors can enjoy free Riebel, coffee, and sparkling wine in a nostalgic atmosphere, while the Süasslar Trio provides lively entertainment. At 9:49 AM, the group will march together to the steps of the Red House, where Mayor Andrea Kaufmann will officially open the bustling Martini Market at 10 AM.

Doing Good for a Good Cause
The Martini Market commemorates Saint Martin, who famously shared his cloak with a freezing beggar. This spirit of generosity is reflected in the activities of various local clubs and schools, who sell their products to support charitable causes.

Culinary Delights
The gastronomic highlights of the Martini Market include traditional homemade dishes such as Riebel, Schupfnudeln, cabbage Spätzle, sausages, and more. Visitors can also enjoy the first mulled cider or non-alcoholic punch of the season. Roasted almonds and chestnuts complete the autumn market offering.

Musical Entertainment until 8 PM
For those who love to dance, the Süasslar Trio, the Bauernkapelle, and Bebe Jukes will provide lively music on the nostalgia stage in front of the church until 8 PM. Younger visitors can enjoy thrilling rides on the "Ganslexpress" or the nostalgic carousel in the Europa Passage.

Capture the Memories
At the photo booth in the City Museum Park, visitors can snap nostalgic photos until 4 PM. All this and much more awaits visitors with free admission. Those "in old costumes" can even ride the Dornbirn city bus to and from the event for free.
